“Stayed here during our visit to Santa Rosa and overall had a good experience. The place has a cool vibe, with tastefully decorated rooms and a nice garden. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the shower was a downside. There wasn’t hot water during our stay and the water pressure was weak. It can also get noisy at night if people are hanging out outside. If you’re on the ground floor, be aware that you’ll likely hear footsteps and movement from the room above. On the plus side, the coffee and light breakfast in the morning were a nice surprise. They offer complimentary yogurt with homemade granola, which was good!”
“We stayed at The Astro over Memorial Day weekend and had so much fun! The room was clean and very nicely decorated. As weird as it might sound the bathroom was the coolest! It had a humongous open shower with 2 different types of shower heads. The room where they serve breakfast was just a short walk through a small courtyard that had really cool decorations. Everything was decorated so nicely! There’s even a nice park right next door with a cool bridge and pond that you can hear the bullfrogs doing bullfrog things at night. The staff were also all very friendly. Don’t get me started on Betty.. She was THE BEST!!!”
“Absolutely the best place to stay in Santa Rosa! Tastefully fun esthetic and super clean; right across from a large park; family friendly; comfy memory foam beds; modern walking rain shower and toto in-wall; concrete sinks; well lit; safe neighborhood; longe and courtyard are super fun with fruit trees everywhere; the staff are very welcoming and helpful; good value... It's pretty much perfect. Forget the chains with their weak coffee - stay here and support and independent business that puts out homemade granola and coffee that you can't see through for breakfast. We'll be back!”
“I have been traveling with my dog going back and forth from the Oregon coast to Ventura California. The Astro is by far the best motel I have stayed at, the rooms are beautifully decorated,, clean , smell fresh without overpowering scents. The grounds are dog friendly and there is a great park right next door. The area is quiet and has some great restaurants within steps of the motel; including a breakfast spot that opens at 7 am. There is coffee and light breakfast fare in a cozy lounge area in motel if you chose to stay in and beautiful garden surroundings. The staff is friendly and have every reason to be proud of a motel that is a cut above anything I have found on my many miles of travel.”
“Amazing hotel!! Rooms and property are beautiful, clean and well maintained. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel seen and comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars is they advertise included breakfast, but breakfast is just granola, yogurt and fruit. Even though breakfast is very limited, the granola is a special treat from Spinster Sisters, and was delicious and hearty. Definitely don't skip on this one!!”
“Hotel was great as a base to explore Sonoma. The room was clean and comfy and the bathroom looked recently renovated. I also appreciated the breakfast options, in particular the tasty granola form the Spinster Sisters. Also want to give a shoutout to all the staff which were super friendly and ensured we had a great stay.”
